Altaris Suite
The Carnegie is a room that understands performance. On the eighth floor of the northern elevation, the principal salon's three floor-to-ceiling windows frame Carnegie Hall at close range — the arched windows of the main hall, the ornamental brickwork, the green copper roof catching morning and evening light in entirely different ways. The ceiling of the salon is the suite's primary architectural statement: original Beaux-Arts plasterwork friezes — acanthus, lyre, and theatrical mask — restored over eleven months by a specialist conservator to their original gilded programme. The walls are hung with antique concert programmes, signed photographs, and architectural drawings of the hall sourced from a New York auction over three years. The Vermont Danby marble bathroom — white stone against a floor of Black Marquina — positions its freestanding soaking tub to face the window and the hall beyond. A concert-quality Steinway Model B in the salon, tuned weekly, is available for guests on request.

A limestone-clad tower above West 52nd Street, where Midtown's energy gives way to the open air of Central Park's canopy. Roman and Williams interiors translate European precision into Manhattan's particular grammar — polished Grigio Carnico marble, blackened steel joinery, and bespoke furniture upholstered in W. T. Whitney saddle leather. Above the fortieth floor, the city's vertical confidence meets the park's horizontal calm in a considered and permanent tension.
ReserveFive floors of evidence-based recovery directly beneath the lobby. The Altaris New York Wellness Atelier applies Scandinavian thermal intelligence to Manhattan's particular need for high-performance restoration — combining cold immersion, altitude training, and clinical sports physiotherapy.
