The Fifth Avenue takes its name from the address it commands — a room whose approach to proportion and material precision acknowledges that proximity to the world's most considered retail corridor sets the standard. Custom Maharam textile wall coverings — hand-loomed on a ground of warm ivory in charcoal and slate — enclose a room furnished by Roman and Williams: a king bed framed by bespoke bedside tables in dark walnut and patinated steel, a writing desk with a reading lamp in hand-blown glass, a chaise longue positioned to face the park view. The Vermont Danby marble bathroom houses a walk-in rainfall shower and a freestanding deep soaking tub. Evening light falls across Central Park below, green and particular in the way only Manhattan's west side is.
