The Garnier is a room that understands theatre. On the eighth floor of the northern elevation, the principal salon's three floor-to-ceiling windows frame the Opéra Garnier at close range — the gilded dome, the allegorical sculptural programme above the loggia, the copper-green mansard of the Palais Garnier catching morning and evening light in entirely different ways. The ceiling of the salon is the suite's primary architectural statement: original Second Empire plasterwork friezes — vine, laurel, and theatrical mask — restored over eleven months by a specialist Parisian conservator to their original polychrome gilding. The walls are hung with antique theatrical drawings sourced from a Drouot auction over three years. The Breccia Capraia marble bathroom — rose-veined stone against a floor of Nero Marquina — positions its freestanding copper bath to face the window and the dome beyond. A grand piano in the salon, tuned monthly, is available for guests on request.
