The Madison sits on the sixth floor of the western elevation, its principal window looking west across the Midtown grid toward the Hudson. The room applies the logic of a Manhattan private apartment — nothing superfluous, nothing underconsidered. Walls in custom Maharam textile, a deep charcoal-and-stone weave that changes register under morning and evening light. Dark-stained walnut joinery throughout, sealed to a warm depth. Bespoke furniture by Roman and Williams: a writing desk in walnut, a bedside table in patinated steel, a low bench with leather pulls. The Vermont Danby marble bathroom pairs a walk-in rainfall shower in brushed nickel with a freestanding soaking tub positioned beside the window. A room that occupies itself fully without requiring anything from its guest.
