Beneath the tower, Onsen Altaris draws its mineral water from deep volcanic aquifers that reach the Japanese Alps. The facility applies the ancient intelligence of Japanese thermal therapy — the graduated temperatures of the rotenburo, the hinoki sauna, the cold river plunge — alongside contemporary physiological recovery and a skincare programme developed in partnership with a Kyoto botanical laboratory. This is not a spa of sensation. It is a spa of restoration.
