Al Bustan

The Garden Logic

Al Bustan operates on a simple logic: that the most civilised eating is done outdoors, in the company of good light, and that the Eastern Mediterranean tradition produces some of the world's most naturally social food. The mezze is designed for sharing and ordered in rounds. The mains — a whole sea bream baked in vine leaves, a rack of lamb with pomegranate and pistachio — are presented at the table and carved before guests. The service is warm and unhurried. Al Bustan is not a restaurant in the formal sense. It is an argument for a particular way of spending an evening.
