The Majlis

The Majlis sits on the sixth floor of the western elevation, its principal window looking northwest across the skyline toward the Burj Khalifa and the Downtown towers. The room applies the logic of a traditional Arabic private residence — nothing superfluous, nothing underconsidered. Walls in hand-cut mother-of-pearl inlay, a deep ivory-and-gold mosaic that reads differently under morning and evening light. Calacatta Gold marble floors, sealed to a warm honey. Bespoke furniture by Pallavi Dean Interiors: a writing desk in bronzed steel and pale stone, a bedside table in patinated brass, a low divan with geometric embroidered cushions. The Calacatta Gold marble bathroom pairs a walk-in rainfall shower in brushed steel with a freestanding deep soaking tub positioned beside the window. A room that occupies itself fully without requiring anything from its guest.
