The Gold Souk in Deira holds over two hundred and fifty merchants trading across three hundred and fifty varieties of jewellery. The adjacent Spice Souk, occupying the opposite bank of the Dubai Creek, has been continuous since the nineteenth century. Altaris Dubai arranges a private half-day discovery of both souks, led by a guide with direct relationships within the merchant community — introductions, context, and access to the wholesale operations not visible to standard visitors. The programme includes an abra water-taxi crossing of the Creek and, optionally, a fitting appointment with one of the Gold Souk's finest craftsmen.
