The Sukhumvit

The Sukhumvit takes its name from the boulevard that defines contemporary Bangkok — a street of perpetual energy whose interior logic this suite quietly inverts. Hand-block-printed Batik wall coverings — printed on a ground of warm cream in saffron and deep burgundy — enclose a room furnished entirely from Chiang Mai workshops: a king bed framed by bespoke bedside tables in gilded bronze and blackened teak, a writing desk with a reading lamp in hand-blown glass, a low bench positioned to face the courtyard. The Kaen Kham sandstone bathroom houses a walk-in rainfall shower and a freestanding deep soaking tub. Evening light falls across the stone courtyard below, warm and still in the way only Bangkok courtyards are.
